Travelers to Canada must apply for an entry authorization, known as an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization), before departure. It is the passenger’s responsibility to apply for and obtain an approved eTA. At check-in, your valid eTA is verified using the information electronically read from your passport. If the details do not match, you may be denied entry to Canada.
