Travellers to the US must apply for an entry permit, known as ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) no later than 72 hours before departure. It is the passenger’s responsibility to apply for and obtain an ESTA. Your passport will be read electronically at check in to check that you have an approved ESTA.
