If you are travelling abroad. Now you can order the new European health insurance card from the Regional social insurance office. You should take it with you when travelling abroad. The card gives you the right to all necessary care on the same terms as the country's own citizens. By doing so you save unnecessary health costs! The card is valid from 1 June 2004 in all EU/EES countries and Switzerland. The card is free.
